Hilarity for Charity
Nearly 80 children were in attendance at Pomperaug Elementary School for our Evening with Santa event. Special thanks to our sponsor, Dr. Kest for once again supporting this special event. Also, a very special thank you to Santa and the Elves for taking time out of their busy schedules and helping spread some Holiday Cheer!
We are pleased to share that the SWC 6th Annual Turkey Trot attracted more than 2,200 runners and walkers and raised over $30,000. A majority of these funds will go to the Southbury Food Bank, Fuel Bank and Needy Fund. We would like to thank the Town of Southbury, the Southbury Police Department, the Southbury Fire Department and the many volunteers for their time spent helping to make this community event a success. In addition, thank you to the many local sponsors including our Platinum sponsors, The Gym, Michael Friedman Orthodontics and Nutmeg Striders, for continuing to support this annual tradition. We look forward to seeing everyone at the 2017 Southbury Turkey Trot!
Southbury Bridal Show
As the charity of choice for the 2017 Southbury Bridal Show that took place Sunday, February 26th at The Heritage Hotel, the Southbury Women's Club received over $800 in donations. This donation will support Southbury Women's Club upcoming Hilarity to Charity fundraising event that will take place on Friday, March 31, 2017. We would like to thank the organizers of the Southbury Bridal Show as well as the Heritage Hotel for their generous support!
SWC filled 50 backpacks as part of of our Operation Backpack! We work closely with Southbury Social Services to provide local children in need with school supplies. Special thanks this year to Heather White Rodgers and her Lunchbox Love Fundraiser! Also thank you to all of our donors and our corporate sponsors,Bearingstar Insurance. Fall Fine Arts Festival
Congratulations to the PHS class of 2016! Thank you for your graduation balloon orders. We sold over 450 balloons! Thank you to ShopRite of Southbury for your support with this event. Thank you also to the Jewelry Cafe for donating a portion of their custom charm bracelet sales to SWC.
On behalf of the Southbury Women's Club we would like to thank everyone for their participation in the 12th Annual Fall Fine Arts Festival.
Without your generous support, we could not realize our mission to support various local charities. A special thank you goes to ShopRite, Southbury Music Studio, Ion Bank of Southbury, Massage Envy - Southbury - CT, Southbury Kitchens, Renewal by Andersen, GreenIt Home Services and Chip's Family Restaurant of Southbury for their sponsorship of the festival Also, sincere thanks to the Southbury Juniorettes,the Tri-M Honor Society student volunteers, and the Boy Scout volunteers who helped make our event a more pleasant experience for our vendors and shoppers with young children.
